Kartris does a load of stuff out-of-the-box. It is highly configurable with all manner of settings in the back end config system, as well as various display options for products. Beyond that, you can make all kinds of visual changes through the skin system.

But there are cases where you need a bit of help. Maybe as a busy developer you don't have the time to launch yourself into the code to figure out modifications yourself. Or perhaps you don't want take the risk to purchase just the software, and would prefer a total turnkey ecommerce solution from a single provider. Either way, we're happy to oblige.

How do I get a price for custom work?

We typically quote a fixed price for a project, thereby eliminating the price risk at your end. But in order to do this, we require enough detail about the project to fully understand what is required. For a simple modification, a paragraph or two in an email might be enough. For more complex and extensive changes, mockups or sketches may be necessary. Either way, we'll let you know if we need anything more to firm up a price.

Is my modification too small for you guys?

Probably not - we work by the hour so routinely do small modifications, even as small as one hour. Typically these can be done at relatively short notice on a pre-paid credit card payment basis. This avoids the time and cost of chasing up small payments later and keeps us competitive.

For larger modifications, we may require a % deposit on the work, with the balance typically invoiced on completion of the work.
